Ever wondered exactly whats involved in training for an Ironman? This video goes out to everyone working full time and still being able to squeeze a full days training in around work.
Ironman training is super demanding. It means super early mornings, being exhausted all day, and then training again in the arvo’s when you wish you were sleeping. Then when you finally do get to bed you realise that the alarms gonna go off a lot sooner then you desire.
This is my Thursday – Its my busiest day of the week and always a hard slog. But the thing is, if you want results, there’s no short cuts, there’s no hiding in this sport and that one of the reasons I’m drawn to it. I’m willing to put in the hard yards just like I know many other serious competitors will be doing too.
No, not always training times, conditions, work, fatigue etc are ideal, but I love what I’m achieving at the moment and the sport itself, so its very easy to motivate myself to do what needs to be done.
I really hope you enjoy this one. It’s an episode I’ve been wanting to make for a while now, in making this I actually realised thow hectic sport really is.
